# Back Button Widget Pro for WordPress

The Pro version of [Back Button Anywhere Widget for WordPress](https://wpfactory.com/item/back-button-widget-wordpress-plugin/) adds three things the free version does not have: back buttons inside your navigation menus, a floating button that follows the visitor as they scroll, and conditional rules that hide or show the button on specific pages. Everything Pro adds is configured under **WPFactory > Back Button**.

### What Pro adds

#### Menu integration

Add the back button to any registered menu location or to a specific menu you built, from the **Menu Options** section. Select one or more targets, and the button is appended as the last item. You can set the button markup and the wrapping item template, and there is a second method using a `[ALG_BACK_BUTTON]` Custom Link token. See [How to add the Back Button to a WordPress menu](https://wpfactory.com/docs/add-back-button-to-wordpress-menu/).

#### Floating button

Turn on a persistent button that stays fixed on screen from the **Floating Button Options** section. Choose one of four corners (bottom right, bottom left, top right, top left) and set the horizontal and vertical margins. You can also point it at a custom shortcode for advanced styling. See [How to add a floating back button](https://wpfactory.com/docs/add-floating-back-button/).

#### Hide and show rules

Pro activates the conditional options on the widget and shortcode: **Hide on front page**, **Hide on URL param**, and their show-only counterparts. Use them to keep the button off your homepage, or to show it only when a specific query parameter is present. See [How to hide or show the back button by page or URL](https://wpfactory.com/docs/hide-or-show-back-button-by-url-or-page/).

### What is already free

To avoid confusion, these are Free and do not need Pro: the **Back Button widget** with all its style, class, type, and label controls, the `[alg_back_button]` and `[alg_back_button_translate]` shortcodes, the `alg_back_button()` PHP function, and **Font Awesome** icon support (the `fa` attribute and the Load/URL settings). If you only need a styled back button on a page or in a sidebar, the free version covers it.

### Requirements

- WordPress (no WooCommerce or page builder required).
- [Back Button Anywhere Widget for WordPress](https://wpfactory.com/item/back-button-widget-wordpress-plugin/) Pro, activated in place of the free version.

### Ready to set this up?

Menu placement, the floating button, and hide/show rules are Pro features of [Back Button Widget](https://wpfactory.com/item/back-button-widget-wordpress-plugin/). If you are still on the free version, upgrading takes a couple of minutes and unlocks all three. [Get Back Button Widget Pro](https://wpfactory.com/item/back-button-widget-wordpress-plugin/).
