# Bulk Download Plugins and Adding the Version to the ZIP Name

To bulk download plugins, tick them on Plugins > Installed Plugins, choose Download ZIP from Bulk actions and click Apply; this needs Download Plugins and Themes in ZIP from Dashboard Pro. To add the version to each ZIP name, set Append plugin version to Yes at WPFactory > Download plugins and Themes. Versioned filenames are free.

### Download several plugins in one ZIP

The bulk **Download ZIP** action does exist: it lives in the **Bulk actions** dropdown on **Plugins > Installed Plugins**. Tick the plugins you want, choose **Download ZIP**, then click **Apply** to get a single ZIP of just those plugins. This is a Pro feature. **Note:** in the free version the **Download ZIP** bulk action still appears in the dropdown, but selecting it shows a notice that Pro is required. The bulk selection is for plugins only: there is no equivalent bulk-select action for themes. To grab every plugin or every theme at once instead, use the free **Download all** tools under **WPFactory > Download plugins and Themes**.

### Add the version number to the ZIP filename

Versioned filenames are a free feature, and they may just need turning on. Go to **WPFactory > Download plugins and Themes** and set the options in the **Version** section:

| Append theme version | `alg_download_plugins_dashboard_themes_append_version` | No | Free |
| Version separator character | `alg_download_plugins_dashboard_version_separator_char` | `.` | Free |

With **Append plugin version** set to **Yes**, a download becomes `my-plugin.2.1.0.zip` instead of `my-plugin.zip`. The **Version separator character** sets the single character between the name and the version (a dot by default). ### Scheduled bulk archives
