# General and Cart Options for the WooCommerce Free Shipping Bar

The General and Cart sections of the [Free Shipping Bar: Amount Left for Free Shipping for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/amount-left-free-shipping-woocommerce/) control how the amount left for free shipping is calculated and where it appears on the cart page. Most of these options are free, with a few Pro extras noted below.

Go to **WPFactory > Left for Free Shipping** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Amount Left for Free Shipping**).

### General options

### Calculation

These options decide which cart figure the plugin treats as the total when working out how much is left.

### Hide shipping methods and hide the amount left text

The General section also lets you hide other shipping methods once free shipping is available, and hide the message in specific cases. Note the exact option names, which are commonly mislabeled:

- There is no "Free shipping method" selector. The option is **Visible shipping methods** (`alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_visible_shipping_methods_on_hide`), a multiselect of the methods that stay visible once free shipping is reached, used together with **Hide shipping methods** (`alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_hide_shipping_methods`).
- **Hide the amount left text** can be triggered by cart amount (`alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_min_cart_amount`, free), by disabled shipping method (`alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_hide_by_disabled_shipping_method`, free), by category (`alg_wc_left_to_free_hide_by_category`, Pro), and by user role (`alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_hide_by_user_role`, Pro).

### Cart section

Enable the Cart section to show the message on the cart page. In the free version you get the enable toggle, content, position, and priority. Custom style is a Pro extra.

For in-table positions, the **Wrap method** (`alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_cart_wrap_method`, default Ignore) and **Wrap template** (`alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_cart_wrap_template`) add the row markup. Both are free.
