# General and Order Options for Custom Statuses

The general and order options for each custom status in Additional Custom Order Status for WooCommerce are in the General Options and Order Options boxes. Go to WooCommerce > Order Status and open a status. General options add it to bulk actions and reports; order options control editing, payment and downloads. All are free.

### Where to find these options

Go to **WooCommerce > Order Status**, open a status (or click **Add New Status**), and look at the **General Options** and **Order Options** boxes.

### General options

| Label | Option ID | Default | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Add to order bulk actions | `is_bulk_action` | Yes | Adds a "Change status to ..." entry to the orders list bulk actions menu, so you can move many orders at once. |
| Add to reports | `is_report` | Yes | Includes orders in this status in WooCommerce reports. |

### Order options

The **Order Options** box controls order behavior in this status: **Is order editable** (`is_order_editable`), **Is order paid** (`is_order_paid`), **Is order valid for payment** (`is_order_valid_for_payment`), **Set order "date paid" on status update** (`do_set_order_date_paid`), and **Download permissions** (`do_download_permissions`). All default to **No**. For a full walkthrough, see [Configuring order behavior for custom statuses](https://wpfactory.com/wp-content/uploads/pasted-image-0-96.png).

### About "paid" statuses

WooCommerce already treats its own "Processing" and "Completed" statuses as paid. Turning on **Is order paid** extends that behavior to a custom status, which is useful when a status such as "Deposit received" should count toward paid-order logic.

### Deleting a status safely

When you remove a status from the **Actions** box, you can choose **Delete status with fallback**. Orders currently in that status are reassigned to the "On hold" status before the status is deleted, so no order is left pointing at a status that no longer exists.

**Note:** the fallback runs when you delete a status manually. There is no automatic fallback applied on plugin deactivation.
