# How to Export WooCommerce Products to CSV or XML

To export your product catalog, use the Products section of [Export Products, Orders & Customers for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/export-woocommerce/). You choose which fields to include, order them, and download the result as CSV or XML. This guide covers the full flow.

### Step 1: open the product export settings

1. Go to **WPFactory > Export** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Export**).
2. Open the **Products** section.

### Step 2: choose and order your fields

1. In the **Export Products Fields** list on the left, select the fields you want. Hold **Control** to select several, or **Control + A** to select all.
2. Click **>>** to move them into the sortable list on the right, then drag them into the order you want the columns to appear.
3. Click **Save changes**. You must save before previewing or exporting.

The stored field selection is `alg_export_products_fields` and the drag order is saved to `alg_export_products_fields_sorted`. Both are free.

### Step 3: preview or export

Unlike some other sections, the Products section has its own buttons, so you do not need to leave this screen:

- **Preview** shows a small sample (the first few rows) so you can check the columns.
- **Export** generates the full file. The format follows the **Download File Type** option (`alg_export_products_fields_file_type`, default CSV; the other choice is XML).

### Optional: extra product controls

| Setting | Option ID | Default | Free/Pro |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Export Product Attribute (shown when "Product Attributes" is selected) | `alg_export_products_attribute` | none | Free |
| Variation Product on a New Row | `alg_export_products_variation_newline` | No | Free |
| Additional Export Products Meta Fields (count) | `alg_export_products_fields_additional_total_number` | 1 | Free (max 1), Pro (unlimited) |

The additional meta fields let you add columns from custom fields (product meta keys). The free version allows one; Pro removes the limit. See the "Add custom meta field columns" how-to for the full flow.

### Optional: filter by date

The **Export Products Filter Options** block adds a **Date Filter** (`alg_export_products_fields_date_filter`) with presets from Today and Yesterday through Last 36 months, plus a **Custom Date Range**. Leave it on **All time** to export the whole catalog.

### Get more control

Product export is free. [Export Products, Orders & Customers for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/export-woocommerce/) Pro lets you add unlimited custom meta-field columns to every product export. [See what Pro unlocks](https://wpfactory.com/item/export-woocommerce/).
