# Admin Options and Advanced Tools

The [EU/UK VAT Manager for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/eu-vat-for-woocommerce/) adds order-level VAT tools for the store admin and a set of advanced switches for tricky hosting or caching cases. In current versions these live on two separate sub-tabs, **Admin** and **Advanced**, at **WPFactory > EU VAT** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > EU VAT**).

### Admin sub-tab

The same Admin sub-tab also links to two references: the **Field ID used for EU VAT** (`_billing_eu_vat_number`), the **Tools > EU country VAT Rates** tool for adding standard EU rates, and the **WooCommerce > Reports > Taxes > EU VAT** report. It also documents the multilingual `[alg_wc_eu_vat_translate]` shortcode.

### Advanced sub-tab

- **Debug** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_debug`): writes a log you can read at **WooCommerce > Status > Logs**.
- **Force VAT recheck on checkout** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_force_checkout_recheck`): re-validates on each checkout, useful with dynamic caching.
- **Sitepress optimizer dynamic caching plugin** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_sitepress_optimizer_dynamic_caching`): a compatibility toggle for that caching plugin.
- **Manual validation of VAT numbers** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_manual_validation_enable`) and **VAT numbers to pass validation** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_manual_validation_vat_numbers`): treat a defined list of numbers as valid.
- **Checkout block field** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_enable_checkout_block_field`): registers the field for block-based checkout.

All Admin and Advanced options here are part of the free version.

### VAT shifted text

The **VAT shifted text** option (`alg_wc_eu_vat_advanced_vat_shifted_text`, default *VAT Shifted*) lives on the **Compatibility** sub-tab, alongside the PDF invoice integrations. It sets the reverse-charge wording added to invoices.
