# EU/UK VAT Manager: Advanced Settings Reference

## Advanced settings reference

The Advanced sub-tab of the [EU/UK VAT Manager for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/eu-vat-for-woocommerce/) holds the switches you reach for when troubleshooting hosting, caching or checkout-compatibility problems. Every option here is part of the free version. Find them at **WPFactory > EU VAT** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > EU VAT**), **Advanced** sub-tab.

### Advanced options

| Label | Option ID | Default | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Debug | `alg_wc_eu_vat_debug` | No | Writes a validation log to WooCommerce > Status > Logs. |
| Force VAT recheck on checkout | `alg_wc_eu_vat_force_checkout_recheck` | No | Re-validates the number on every checkout, useful with dynamic caching. |
| Sitepress optimizer dynamic caching plugin | `alg_wc_eu_vat_sitepress_optimizer_dynamic_caching` | No | Compatibility toggle for that caching plugin. |
| Manual validation of VAT numbers | `alg_wc_eu_vat_manual_validation_enable` | No | Treats a defined list of numbers as valid. |
| VAT numbers to pass validation | `alg_wc_eu_vat_manual_validation_vat_numbers` | (empty) | The comma-separated list of manually approved numbers. |
| Remove country from VAT number in REST API | `alg_wc_eu_vat_remove_country_rest_api_enable` | No | Strips the country prefix from the number returned by the REST API. |
| Reduce concurrent request to VIES | `alg_wc_eu_vat_reduce_concurrent_request_enable` | No | Helps with the MS_MAX_CONCURRENT_REQ VIES error. |
| Checkout block field | `alg_wc_eu_vat_enable_checkout_block_field` | No | Registers the VAT field for block-based checkout. |
| Add script dependency | `alg_wc_eu_vat_checkout_block_field_dependencies` | No | Fixes the "alg_wc_eu_vat_ajax_object is not defined" error. |
| Autofill company name from VAT ID | `alg_wc_eu_vat_advance_enable_company_name_autofill` | No | Fills the billing company from VIES. Requires the SOAP method. |
| Force price display including tax | `alg_wc_eu_vat_force_price_display_incl_tax` | No | Shows tax-inclusive prices even for VAT-exempt customers. |

### Request Identifier

A second group on the Advanced sub-tab stores the VIES "request identifier" proof-of-consultation code:

- **Request identifier** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_request_identifier`): fetch and store the identifier code with each validation.
- **Requester country code** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_requester_country_code`) and **Requester VAT number** (`alg_wc_eu_vat_requester_vat_number`): your own VAT details, used as the requesting party in the VIES call.
