# EU/UK VAT Manager: Reset a Settings Section to Defaults

To reset a settings section in EU/UK VAT Manager for WooCommerce, go to WPFactory > EU VAT (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > EU VAT), open the sub-tab, tick Reset section settings in the Reset Settings group, and click Save changes. Only that sub-tab returns to its defaults. This is free and cannot be undone.

### How to reset a section

1. Go to **WPFactory > EU VAT** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > EU VAT**).
2. Open the sub-tab you want to reset (**General**, **Validation**, **Messages**, **Admin**, **Advanced** or **Compatibility**).
3. Scroll to the **Reset Settings** group at the bottom and tick **Reset section settings**.
4. Click **Save changes**. The options in that section are deleted and revert to their defaults, and a confirmation notice appears.

**Note:** the reset applies only to the sub-tab you are on. Each section stores its own reset flag in the form `wpfactory_wc_eu_vat_<section>_reset`, for example `wpfactory_wc_eu_vat_validation_reset` for the Validation sub-tab. Other sections are left untouched.

### Before you reset

Resetting cannot be undone, so note any custom labels, messages or country lists first. If you only need to change a few values, edit them directly instead of resetting the whole section.
