# How to Export WooCommerce Customers

To export the people registered on your store, use the Customers section of [Export Products, Orders & Customers for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/export-woocommerce/). This tool reads the WordPress users table, so it exports registered users (by default the WooCommerce customer role). This guide covers the fields and the export step.

### Step 1: choose your customer fields

1. Go to **WPFactory > Export** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Export**).
2. Open the **Customers** section.
3. In **Export Customers Fields** (`alg_export_customers_fields`), select the fields, then click **Save changes**.

### What you can export

- **Account:** Customer Nr., Customer ID, email, first and last name, login, nicename, URL, registered date, display name, and user roles.
- **Profile meta:** nickname, description, and the full billing and shipping address set.
- **Activity:** Last Update.

**Pro fields:** **Total Spent (Lifetime)**, **Order Count (Lifetime)**, and **Last Order Date** appear in the field list only when Export WooCommerce Pro is active.

### Filtering by user role

The **User Roles** option (`alg_export_customers_user_roles`, default the `customer` role) chooses which roles are exported. In the free version this control is fixed on the customer role; changing it to other roles is a Pro feature.

**Note:** the Customers section does not have a date filter. Date-based filtering is available on Products and on Customers from Orders. To pull customers by when they ordered, use the [Customers from Orders](https://wpfactory.com/item/export-woocommerce/) tool instead.

### Step 2: run the export

Click **Open Tool** to go to the Export dashboard at **WooCommerce > Export**, then click **Download CSV** or **Download XML**.

### Get more control

Customer export is free. [Export Products, Orders & Customers for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/export-woocommerce/) Pro adds lifetime spend and order counts, and lets you export any user role. [See what Pro unlocks](https://wpfactory.com/item/export-woocommerce/).
