# Multiple External Products URLs & Currencies: Free vs Pro

[Multiple External Products URLs & Currencies for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/advanced-external-products-for-woocommerce/) free covers store-wide control of external products: one currency for all affiliate products, new tab links for all of them, and extra buy buttons. Pro adds per-product control and a dropdown for extra links. Settings for both are at **WPFactory > Advanced External Products**.

## Comparison

| Feature | Free | Pro |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Currency for all external products | Yes | Yes |
| Custom currency symbol template | Yes | Yes |
| Currency per product | No | Yes |
| Open links in a new tab for all external products (single pages and archives) | Yes | Yes |
| Open links in a new tab per product (single pages and archives) | No | Yes |
| Extra product URLs field with custom button text | Yes | Yes |
| Extra buy buttons on single pages and archives (Buttons template) | Yes | Yes |
| Dropdown template for extra links, with Default label field | No | Yes |

In the free version, the Pro options are visible in the settings but greyed out.

## What the Pro features do

### Currency per product

Adds a **Currency** field to each external product, so a product sold by a US merchant can show USD while one from a UK merchant shows GBP. See [setting a different currency for affiliate products](https://wpfactory.com/docs/external-products-currency/).

### New tab per product

Adds **Link in a new tab** and **Link in a new tab on archives** fields to each external product, so only chosen affiliate links open in a new tab. See [opening external product links in a new tab](https://wpfactory.com/docs/external-products-new-tab/).

### Dropdown template

Shows the main link and the extra links in one dropdown with a single buy button, on single pages, archives or both. See [adding multiple buy links](https://wpfactory.com/docs/external-products-multiple-buy-links/).

## Upgrading

1. Install and activate the Pro plugin. The free build detects Pro and stays idle.
2. Your existing settings and product data carry over.
3. Turn on the Pro options you need at **WPFactory > Advanced External Products**.
