# Fix Per-Tag and Per-Product Discount Display Issues

## Fix per-tag and per-product quantity rules that do not apply

If a per-tag, per-category or per-product quantity rule in Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce does not apply, enable that level at WPFactory > Product Price by Quantity > General, then configure it where it lives: the product edit meta box, or the category or tag edit screen. Per-category and per-tag levels are Pro.

### Symptoms

- A tag or category rule is not applied to matching products.
- A per-product pricing table is missing.

### How rules are resolved

Price by Quantity checks for a matching rule in this order: per product, then per category or tag, then the store-wide All Products rule. A level type only takes effect if it is both enabled and has levels configured.

### Fix step by step

1. **Enable the level.** Go to **WPFactory > Product Price by Quantity > General**. Per-product is free; **Per product category** (`alg_wc_wholesale_pricing_per_product_cat_enabled`) and **Per product tag** (`alg_wc_wholesale_pricing_per_product_tag_enabled`) are Pro. Turn on the one you need.
2. **Configure the rule where it lives.** Per-product levels are set in the **Product Price by Quantity** meta box on the product edit page. Per-category and per-tag levels are set on the category or tag edit screen, under a Product Price by Quantity section. Set **Number of levels** and click Update so the level fields appear, then fill in Min quantity and Discount.
3. **Watch out for variable products.** When **Per variation** is enabled, the parent variable product does not use the per-product rule; set rules on each variation, or use the store-wide, category, or tag level instead.
4. **Confirm the tag or category is actually assigned.** Edit the product and check that the expected tag or category is attached.
5. **Clear caches** and retest on a simple product first to confirm the rule works.
