# How to Accept Price Offers on Product Variations

To take price offers on individual variations with [Name Your Price: Make Your Own Offer for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/price-offers-for-woocommerce/), use the Pro per-variation option: set **Products** to **Enable for selected products only** and tick **Per variation** under **WPFactory > Price Offers > General**, then set **Price offers** to Yes on each variation.

## Symptoms

- The **Make an offer** button shows on a variable product, but offers are saved against the parent product, so you cannot tell which size or color the customer wanted.
- You want offers on some variations only, and the button should appear only when one of them is selected.
- With per-variation offers set up, the button does not appear after a variation is selected.

## How variations work in Name Your Price

- **Free (Enable for all products):** the button appears on variable products like on any other product, and the offer is recorded for the parent product. The customer's variation choice is not attached to the offer. A simple workaround is to keep the **Customer message** field enabled (it is on by default) and ask customers to name the variation there, for example in the **Form header** text.
- **Pro (per variation):** each variation has its own **Price offers** setting. The button appears only when the customer selects an enabled variation, and the offer is recorded for that variation. When the offer is accepted, the add-to-cart link puts that exact variation in the cart at the agreed price.

## Fix: enable offers per variation (Pro)

1. Go to **WPFactory > Price Offers** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Price Offers**) and open the **General** tab.
2. Set **Products** to **Enable for selected products only**.
3. Under **Selected Products Options**, tick **Per variation**. Tick **Per product** as well if you also want offers on simple products. Click **Save changes**.
4. Edit the variable product, open **Product data > Variations**, expand each variation you want to accept offers on and set **Price offers** to **Yes**. You can also set a price step, minimal, maximal and default price, default quantity, and auto-accept and auto-reject prices per variation.
5. Click **Save changes** in the Variations panel and **Update** the product.

## If the button still does not appear

- **No variation selected:** the button is hidden until the customer picks an enabled variation, and hides again when they click **Clear**.
- **Theme or swatches plugin:** Name Your Price listens for the standard WooCommerce `show_variation` event on the `form.variations_form` element. A theme or swatches plugin that replaces the variation form without firing this event prevents the button from showing. Test with the Storefront theme to confirm, then ask the theme or swatches author for WooCommerce variation event support.
- **Exclusions:** the **Exclude** options on the **General** tab (**Out of stock**, **With price**, **Above price**, **Below price**) still apply.
- **Logged-out visitors:** if **User visibility** is set to **Logged-in users only**, guests never see the button.

## Confirm the fix

Open the product, select an enabled variation and check that **Make an offer** appears. Send a test offer, then open **Offers** in wp-admin: the offer should show the variation, not only the parent product.
