# How to Set Payment Gateways per Product in WooCommerce: Installation

## Install and set up Payment Gateways per Products

To show or hide WooCommerce payment methods based on what is in the cart, install [Payment Methods by Product & Country for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/payment-gateways-per-product-for-woocommerce/). Once active, the plugin lets you control which gateways appear for each product category, product tag, individual product, or billing country. This guide covers installation and the first configuration.

### Install the plugin

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Go to **Plugins > Add New**.
3. Search for **Payment Gateways per Products**.
4. Click **Install Now** on the plugin by WPFactory, then click **Activate**.

To upload manually, download the ZIP, go to **Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin**, choose the file, click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.

### Open the settings

Go to **WPFactory > Payment Gateways per Products** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Payment Gateways per Products**). On activation the plugin changes nothing until you set your first rule, so no gateways are hidden by default.

### Set your first rule

1. Open the **Product Categories** or **Product Tags** tab (both are available in the free version and enabled by default).
2. Find the payment gateway you want to control. Each gateway has an **Include** field and an **Exclude** field.
3. Add a category (or tag) to **Include** to show that gateway only when a matching product is in the cart, or to **Exclude** to hide that gateway when a matching product is in the cart.
4. Click **Save changes**.

**Note:** There is no master on/off switch for the plugin. Each section has its own **Enable section** checkbox. The Product Categories and Product Tags sections are on by default; the Products and Countries sections are part of Pro.
