# Payment Gateways by Shipping Settings Reference

This reference lists every setting in [Payment Gateways by Shipping Method for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/payment-gateways-by-shipping-for-woocommerce/) with its label, option ID and default. All settings are on one page at **WPFactory > Payment Gateways by Shipping** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Payment Gateways by Shipping**), in the **General** section. Every setting is included in both the free and the Pro build.

## General Options

| Label | Option ID | Default | Free/Pro | What it does |

| Use shipping instances | `alg_wc_pgbsm_use_shipping_instance` | No | Both | Lists shipping method instances inside shipping zones instead of shipping method types. Save changes after enabling it so the gateway fields reload. |

## Payment Gateways

One multiselect field per payment gateway registered in WooCommerce, titled with the gateway's name. Leave a field blank to enable the gateway for all methods.

| Label | Option ID | Default | Free/Pro | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| (gateway title), method type mode | `alg_wc_pgbsm_enable_{gateway_id}` | Empty | Both | Shipping method types that allow the gateway, for example `flat_rate`. A chosen rate matches when its ID starts with the selected method ID. |
| (gateway title), shipping instance mode | `alg_wc_pgbsm_enable_instance_{gateway_id}` | Empty | Both | Shipping method instance IDs that allow the gateway. A chosen rate matches only the exact instance. |

`{gateway_id}` is the gateway ID, for example `cod`, `bacs`, `cheque` or `ppcp-gateway`. Each field has **Select all** and **Deselect all** buttons.

## Advanced Options

| Label | Option ID | Default | Free/Pro | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Reset chosen payment method | `alg_wc_pgbsm_reset_payment_method_on_totals` | No | Both | Before cart totals are calculated, clears the customer's chosen payment method if it is no longer available. Enable it if cart fees tied to a gateway (for example a COD fee) stay in the totals after the gateway is hidden. |

## Reset Settings

| Label | Option ID | Default | Free/Pro | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Reset section settings | `alg_wc_pgbsm__reset` | No | Both | Check the box and save changes to delete the settings on this page. Only the gateway fields of the current mode are reset. |
