# Quantity Manager: Message Placeholders Reference

## Message placeholders reference

Every notification message in the [Min Max Step Quantity Limits Manager for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/product-quantity-for-woocommerce/) supports placeholders that are replaced with live values when the message is shown. Each message field lists the placeholders it accepts directly beneath it; this article collects them in one place.

### Minimum quantity messages

| Placeholder | Replaced with |
| --- | --- |
| `%min_cart_total_quantity%` | The required cart-total minimum. |
| `%cart_total_quantity%` | The customer's current cart total. |
| `%min_per_item_quantity%` | The per-item minimum. |
| `%item_quantity%` | The current item quantity. |
| `%product_title%` / `%category_title%` / `%attribute_title%` | The product, category or attribute name (per-scope messages). |

### Maximum quantity messages

Use `%max_cart_total_quantity%`, `%cart_total_quantity%`, `%max_per_item_quantity%`, `%item_quantity%`, and `%product_title%` / `%category_title%` / `%attribute_title%` in the matching maximum-quantity messages.

### Step quantity messages

| Placeholder | Replaced with |
| --- | --- |
| `%quantity_step%` | The step value. |
| `%quantity%` | The current quantity. |
| `%remaining_to_next%` | How many more units reach the next valid step. |
| `%next%` | The next valid step quantity. |
| `%step_cart_total_quantity%` | The cart-total step value. |

### Fixed (allowed/disallowed) quantity messages

Use `%allowed_quantity%` or `%disallowed_quantity%`, `%quantity%`, and the relevant title placeholder (`%product_title%`, `%category_title%`, `%attribute_item_title%`).

### Default quantity messages

Use `%default_per_item_quantity%`, `%item_quantity%` and `%product_title%`.

### Total price by quantity template

The Total Price by Quantity template accepts `%price%`, `%qty%`, `%unit%` and the expression form `{{%qty / %quantity_step}}`. The `%unit%` value is read from product level first, then category level, then the global label.

### Buy all stock messages

The success message accepts `%qty%` and `%product_title%`.
