# Coupons by User Role: How to Reset a Settings Section

## How to reset a settings section

To reset a settings section in Coupon by User Role for WooCommerce, go to WPFactory > Coupon by User Role (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Coupon by User Role), open the Availability or Amounts section, tick Reset section settings under Reset Settings, and click Save changes. Only that section returns to its defaults.

### Steps

1. Go to **WPFactory > Coupon by User Role** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Coupon by User Role**).
2. Open the section you want to reset (**Availability** or **Amounts**).
3. Scroll to **Reset Settings** and tick **Reset section settings** (**Reset**).
4. Click **Save changes**. The section's options return to their defaults and a confirmation notice appears.

### Good to know

- Reset only affects the section you are viewing. Resetting **Availability** leaves your **Amounts** settings alone, and the reverse.
- The reset clears that section's saved options, so any roles, exceptions, and messages you configured there are removed. There is no undo, so note your current values first if you might need them again.
- Per-coupon values stored on individual coupons (the **Amount by user role** and **Invalidate by user role** tabs) are not touched by a section reset.
