# How to Reset a Product Tabs Settings Section

## Reset a settings section to its defaults

Each settings section of [Additional Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/product-tabs-for-woocommerce-plugin/) has a built-in reset control, so you can undo the changes in one section without touching the others. This is free.

### How it works

At the bottom of every section (General, Standard Tabs, Custom Tabs: All Products, Custom Tabs: Per Product and Variations Tabs) there is a **Reset Settings** group with a single checkbox, **Reset section settings**.

1. Go to **WPFactory > Product Tabs** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Product Tabs**).
2. Open the section you want to reset.
3. Tick **Reset section settings** at the bottom.
4. Click **Save changes**. The plugin clears that section's options and shows the notice "Your settings have been reset."

The reset applies only to the section you are viewing. Options in other sections are left as they are.

**Note:** reset returns the section's options to their coded defaults. It cannot be undone, so only use it when you want to start that section over. Per-product tabs saved on individual products are stored separately and are not cleared by this control.

### Use cases

- You experimented with the standard tab titles and positions and want the WooCommerce defaults back.
- You want to clear the show and hide rules on a global tab in one step.
