2. Click on the "Cost of Goods" sub-tab.
3. Go to the "Advanced" sub-tab.

**Understanding User Role Restriction:**

**Available User Roles:**

The plugin offers the following user roles for access control:

- **Administrator** (Default: Allowed)
- **Editor**
- **Author**
- **Contributor**
- **Subscriber**
- **Customer**
- **Shop Manager**

**Selecting Allowed User Roles:**

You can choose which user roles are allowed to access the Cost of Goods plugin functionalities by checking or unchecking the corresponding boxes. Only checked roles will have access.

- **Role-Based Permissions:** You can ensure that users only access functionalities relevant to their assigned roles.
- **Improved Data Control:** Restricting access can minimize the risk of accidental data modification by unauthorized users.

**Choosing the Right User Roles:**

The optimal configuration for allowed user roles depends on your specific store structure and team workflow. Here are some general recommendations:

- **Allow access:**
  - Administrators: For full access to plugin settings and functionalities.
  - Shop Managers: If you want them to manage cost data and reports.
- **Restrict access:**
  - Editor, Author, Contributor, Subscriber, Customer: These roles typically wouldn't require access to cost data.
