# How to Translate Price by Quantity Table and Plugin Strings

## Translate Price by Quantity strings

If Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce text stays in English, edit it where it is stored: table headings and cart messages come from your template settings under Info and Price Display by Qty, not from language files. For the plugin's own strings, use Loco Translate or Poedit with the wholesale-pricing-woocommerce text domain.

### Symptoms

- Some table or cart text stays in English while the rest of the site is translated.
- Loco Translate, Poedit, or WPML string translation seem to have no effect.

### 1. Edit template text directly

Headings like "from %level_min_qty% pcs." and cart messages like "You save:" are stored in your settings, not in a language file. Change them in place:

- Table headings: the `heading_format` attribute on the pricing table shortcodes, or the templates under **Info**.
- Cart and price-display text: the **Template** fields under **Info** and **Price Display by Qty**.

Because those fields hold literal text, translating them there is the most reliable fix.

### 2. Translate the plugin's own strings

1. Use Loco Translate or Poedit against the plugin. The text domain is `wholesale-pricing-woocommerce`.
2. Save the `.po` and `.mo` files to the plugin's `langs` folder or your site's global languages folder.
3. Clear any page and object caches after saving.

### 3. Show different text per language

To output different text depending on the active WPML or Polylang language, use the built-in shortcode inside your template fields:

[alg_wc_ppq_translate lang="EN,DE"]Text for EN & DE[/alg_wc_ppq_translate]
[alg_wc_ppq_translate not_lang="EN,DE"]Text for other languages[/alg_wc_ppq_translate]
```

You can also pass the text as attributes: `[alg_wc_ppq_translate lang="EN,DE" lang_text="..." not_lang_text="..."]`.

### 4. Multi-currency with WPML

If you use WooCommerce Multilingual (WPML) with multiple currencies, enable its compatibility on the **Compatibility** tab (`alg_wc_wholesale_pricing_wpml_wcml`) so Fixed and Price directly discounts convert to the active currency.
