# How do I upgrade to the Pro version of a plugin?

To upgrade to the Pro version of a WPFactory plugin, log in to your account on WPFactory, download the Pro plugin file from your account dashboard, then upload it in WordPress under **Plugins > Add New** and activate it. The Pro version works on its own, without the free version.

## Step by step

1. Log in to the WPFactory account you used to purchase the Pro version.
2. In your account dashboard, locate the Pro version of the plugin and download the file.
3. Log in to your WordPress admin panel and go to **Plugins > Add New**.
4. Upload the Pro version file you downloaded.
5. Activate the plugin.

## Do I need to keep the free version?

No. The Pro version functions independently: you do not need the free version installed or activated for the Pro version to work on your website.
