# Add Custom Order Statuses and Custom Triggers (Pro)

If your store uses custom WooCommerce order statuses, or you want to move stock on an action that is not in the standard list, the Pro version of [Automated Stock Update Triggers for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/stock-triggers-for-woocommerce/) adds two capabilities: custom order statuses in the Triggers list, and a free-form Custom triggers field.

### Before you start

- WooCommerce, active.
- [Automated Stock Update Triggers for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/stock-triggers-for-woocommerce/) Pro (both features below are Pro only).

### Custom order statuses in the Triggers list

In the free version the Triggers dropdown lists 10 standard entries. In Pro, every registered order status is added automatically, including statuses created by other plugins or your own code. To use one:

1. Go to **WPFactory > Stock Triggers** (also reachable at **WooCommerce > Settings > Stock Triggers**), **General** sub-section.
2. Enable the Decrease Stock or Increase Stock section.
3. Open the **Triggers** multiselect and pick your custom status (it appears as "Order status: [your status]").
4. Click **Save changes**.

The same expanded status list also appears in the Admin sub-section under **Order status(es)** for the "Adjust line item product stock" option.

### Custom triggers field

The **Custom triggers** box (`alg_wc_stock_custom_triggers[decrease|increase]`) lets you type action hook names directly, one per line. It is a plain text field, not a code editor: you enter the name of a WooCommerce or third-party action, and the plugin hooks its stock function to it. In the free version this field is read-only.

1. In the Decrease Stock or Increase Stock section, find **Custom triggers**.
2. Enter one action hook per line, for example:

```
woocommerce_order_status_completed
my_plugin_custom_action
```

1. Click **Save changes**. The stock action now also fires on those hooks.

**Tip:** the hook you enter should pass an order ID as its first argument, since the plugin uses it to adjust that order's stock. Order status and payment hooks fit this pattern.

### Ready to set this up?

Custom order statuses and custom triggers are Pro features of [Automated Stock Update Triggers for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/stock-triggers-for-woocommerce/).
