# How to Set Quantity Discounts on a Single Product

Per-product pricing lets you give one product its own quantity tiers, separate from the store-wide rule. The [Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce](https://wpfactory.com/item/product-price-by-quantity-for-woocommerce/) plugin adds these controls right on the product edit page. Per-product pricing is free.

### Before you start

- WooCommerce active, with Price by Quantity installed.
- **Per product** enabled at **WPFactory > Product Price by Quantity > General** (`alg_wc_wholesale_pricing_per_product_enabled`, on by default).

### Step-by-step

1. Edit the product and find the **Product Price by Quantity** meta box.
2. Set **Enable** to **Yes** for this product.
3. Choose a **Discount type**: Percent, Fixed, or Price directly (an exact per-unit price).
4. Set **Number of levels**, then click **Update** so the level fields appear.
5. For each level, enter a **Min quantity** and a **Discount** (or price, for Price directly). Enter a negative discount to add a fee instead.
6. Update the product.

**Note:** a per-product rule overrides the store-wide All Products rule for that product. If the **User Roles** feature is on, the meta box also shows a levels block per selected role.

### Use cases

- Give one bestseller deeper tiers than the rest of the catalog.
- Set an exact wholesale price per unit with the Price directly type.

### Troubleshooting

- No level fields? Set Number of levels, then click Update to reload the meta box.
- Rule ignored on a variable product? See per-variation pricing; the parent does not use the per-product rule when Per variation is enabled.
