What are Custom Emails?

Custom emails are email notifications specifically designed and triggered by events within your WooCommerce store. You can configure them to be sent to various recipients (e.g., customers, admins) based on pre-defined triggers or custom actions.

Enabling and Disabling Custom Emails

Each custom email within the plugin has an “Enable/Disable” option. Enabling an email ensures it’s sent when the configured triggers are met. Disabling an email temporarily halts its delivery.

Triggers for Custom Emails

Triggers define the specific events that prompt a custom email to be sent.

The plugin provides a comprehensive list of pre-defined triggers, including

  • Order Status Changes: These triggers fire when an order transitions from one status to another (e.g., “Order status updated to Processing”). Various options are available, covering the entire order lifecycle (Pending Payment, On Hold, Completed, etc.).
  • New Order: This trigger sends an email upon receiving a new order, regardless of its initial status.

Additional Triggers

  • The plugin offers triggers related to subscriptions (if applicable to your store), such as subscription status changes or renewal orders.
  • The Pro version unlocks the ability to define custom triggers using specific actions or filters within WooCommerce.

Delaying Custom Emails (Pro Version)

The Pro version of the plugin allows you to introduce a delay before sending a custom email after a trigger is activated. You can specify the delay in seconds, minutes, hours, days, or even weeks.

Scheduled Emails

Emails triggered by a delay will be listed under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails > Scheduled. This allows you to monitor upcoming email deliveries based on set delays.

Admin Access

The configuration options for custom emails, including enabling/disabling, selecting triggers, and setting delays (Pro version), can be accessed by administrators within your WordPress dashboard. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Emails. Here, you’ll find the “Custom Emails” section where you can manage all your custom email notifications.
