Hi Nik,
Sorry for the late reply.
Generally, our plugin is fully compatible with custom statuses, so you can easily set products stock to be reduced when order status is changed to “Received”. And you can set stock to be restored when order status is changed to e.g. “Cancelled”.
However, adding and removing order items in admin is a bit more complicated. Currently, our plugin is only capable to reduce product stock when admin adds a new product to the order. As for adjusting and removing items, unfortunately, currently, it’s not implemented in our plugin. However, this sounds like a useful feature, please give me a couple of days to implement it. Will get back to you asap.

ParticipantHi Tom, that sounds great!
The way the on-hold status works is perfect. You can add/remove line items and quantities in your order and the inventory is updated when saved. It would be really helpful if we can assign that same functionality to custom order statuses.
Thanks again
Nik
July 12, 2021 at 2:50 am #85904Hi Nik,
As promised, we’ve just released a new plugin version (v1.5.0), where I’ve added new “Adjust line item product stock” options (in “WooCommerce > Settings > Stock Triggers > Admin Order Options”). You can test it with free plugin version, however, unfortunately, custom statuses are listed there only in Pro version. Please give it a try and let me know if it’s working as expected.
P.S. There is also “Admin new order” option in our “Admin Order Options” settings section – I would suggest leaving it as it is, i.e. set to the “Default” value.

ParticipantHi Tom,
That’s great news! On Thursday I will try the pro version out on my dev site and let you know if there are any issues. Thanks for the quick feature add!

Great! Will be waiting for your feedback.

ParticipantHi Tom,
I have done a quick test. It also adds stock changes to the order notes which I didn’t ask for but is great! One small issue I have noticed is when you click Add order and change to a custom status and create line items and then click Create, the stock isn’t updated. You have to click Update after Create to update the stock. Can this be changed to change stock levels on Create as well as Update like the on-hold status?
Thanks again
Nik
July 15, 2021 at 3:29 pm #85908Hi Nik,
Thank you for the feedback. Regarding new order – I believe you can achieve that by additionally enabling our “Decrease Stock” section, and adding “Order status: Received” to the “Triggers” option there. Please give it a try and let me know if that solves it?

ParticipantPerfect! Thanks again for adding the feature, it works well!
Do you do custom development?
July 16, 2021 at 3:06 pm #85910Hi Nik,
Happy to hear it’s solved 🙂
As for custom development – generally that depends on the task. You can contact me directly via [email protected].
