We purchased the WooCommerce EU & UK VAT Numbers Validation plugin.
Unfortunately, there’s one thing it needs to be improved.
According to tax regulations, if a customer in the European Union buys through a company but doesn’t have a European VAT ID, VAT will be added to the purchase, but at the rate applicable in the seller’s country.
Example:
– Our store operates in Poland, and the VAT rate is 23%
– A customer from Hungary buys a product from us. The customer has a company but doesn’t have a VAT ID.
At this point, your plugin is applying 27% Hungarian VAT.
The correct rate is 23%, as that’s the rate applicable in Poland.
Will you fix your plugin, or should we request a refund?
