The generated GTIN should follow the official GS1 format in order to be accepted by external validators and services such as Google. Please make sure the following points are met:
- The GTIN length is valid (GTIN-8, GTIN-12, GTIN-13, or GTIN-14).
- The check digit (last digit) is correct according to the GS1 checksum calculation.
- The prefix used is not within a restricted range (for example 200–299, which is typically reserved for internal use).
Please check the Country prefix configured in WooCommerce → EAN → Tools, update it if necessary, and generate a new GTIN to test again.
Also note that even if a generated GTIN passes the checksum validation, Google may still reject it if it does not belong to a real GS1-issued range. In such cases, the recommended solution is to use official GTIN numbers issued by GS1 rather than automatically generated ones.
