While “This setting allows users to decide whether they want to enter their VAT number to qualify for the exemption.” is useful is not the same, that would apply for a Business as not all businesses are VAT registered (in the EU only). But the case mentioned above is a legal tax requirement if the seller is in the EU – and the clients are businesses outside of EU , they are VAT exempt (reverse charge) regardless if they have a VAT number or not. This should be implemented as an option at least in the Pro version.
