In the settings under general tab we have the option “Allow checkout on unregistered VAT numbers“.
However this option is disabled and therefore can not be ticked – why is that? Screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/__zhcKys4c_S
What I’d like to achieve is to:
- If VAT number is valid and customer is outside base country VAT is removed
- If VAT number is valid and customer is inside base country VAT is kept
- If VAT number is invalid still allow checkout, but keep VAT
The 1st and 2nd are not a problem at all. However I cannot achieve the 3rd, while also keeping the functionality of the 1st and 2nd. I think this checkbox would allow that?

The option you are referring to is a Pro feature. Could you kindly let me know if you are using the Pro version of the plugin?

Thank you, Moshtafizur, I didn’t know that. I’m indeed using the free version of the plugin.
Other Pro features are marked as such, but this one wasn’t – hence the confusion.
