Is there a way to display a custom cart message based on a product category or a specific product in the cart? Iike when a product from category „shirt“ is in tue cart then display a custom message.

Unfortunately no, not at least out-of-the-box because it will be a bit difficult to handle too many cases for different stores.
If that’s a necessity, send us at [email protected] and we will see how to customize that for you.
