How To Not Send Activation Email

Big fan of the plugin but for my customers purpose need to turn off the email authentication link capability and only allow verification through admins approval. So what can I do to turn off sending the email authentication link?

Also if you give a code snippet, would it go in the code snippet plugin or can it go directly into the theme functions.php
