ParticipantIs it possible to write to _wc_cog_cost in order to be able to sync with my reporting software?

ParticipantHi,
Which reporting software are you using? I can check this with our development team.

ParticipantHello – using Metorik
September 26, 2022 at 9:30 pm #91297We now have a compatibility option with Metorik at “Compatibility > Metorik > Sync cost with
_wc_cog_cost
meta”Everytime
_alg_wc_cog_cost
meta gets updated its value is copied to_wc_cog_cost
.The option Enable compatibility with Metorik needs to be enabled.

ParticipantUnfortunately the Metorik compatibility does not work (anymore?).
To be more concrete: The meta field_wc_cog_cost
gets filled with the cost.
But (without the WC COGS Plugin??) Metorik will not show the “Import from WooCommerce” button mentioned in their documentation
(https://help.metorik.com/article/193-cost-of-goods-sold-cogs-and-profit-reports-in-metorik “Part 1: Set Products Costs”, Link “Import from WooCommerce”)Would you mind to have a look into this?

ParticipantWould be great if someone could respond.
Its kind of tempting to switch to WC COGS during Black Friday to get rid of the problem.November 25, 2022 at 8:00 am #102799Hello Thomas,
I have escalated this with our development team . They will get back to you as soon as they can.
Kind regards,
MoshtafizurNovember 25, 2022 at 7:16 pm #102853Hi Thomas,
Please enable these options:
– Products > Cost sanitization > Cost update > Replace comma by dots when updating cost meta
– Products > Cost sanitization > Cost import > Get only the cost number when using the WooCommerce ImporterAnd of course, please make sure you have both compatibility options with Metorik enabled:
– Enable compatibility with Metorik
– Sync cost with _wc_cog_cost metaEvery time the cost meta is updated by our plugin, it will sync its value with the
_wc_cog_cost
meta.Let me know if it helps.

ParticipantHi Pablo,
thank your for the answer! Unfortunately it does still not work.
The sync to
_wc_cog_cost
was already running. (I see that_wc_cog_cost
changes in the db as soon as I change a products cost)
I saw no changes after enabling the additional options. In Metorik I did “Reimport Products” which did not help either.Any more ideas?
Thank
November 28, 2022 at 11:23 pm #103032If the
_wc_cog_cost
meta changes as soon as the product cost gets updated, I believe this is working. Can you please make sure that the
_wc_cog_cost
is being updated with the correct value? I mean, with a numeric value, containing dots and not commas?Maybe Metorik is now asking for a different meta key?
