Hi, we are a charity that offers free educational materials to teachers. We offer two categories: Lessons, and Topical Stamps. We use WooCommerce for these orders. We would like to restrict the number of distinct products (line items) in the cart, rather than quantity. For example, we would like a teacher to order no more than 4 lessons per month. So, in their order, they may order
Lesson A, quantity 30 (number of students)
Lesson B, quantity 30
Lesson C, quantity 20
Lesson D, Quantity 20.
Each teacher will have different numbers of students (quantities), so we can’t limit by quantity. Some will have 5 students, others 30, etc. In the above scenario, the teacher has ordered 4 lessons (A, B, C, and D) at the quantity they need, and we don’t want them to order any more lessons until next month.
Is it possible to limit the number of products (by category) in the cart, rather than the quantity?
April 13, 2021 at 6:08 pm #100597Valerie KittellGuestI should also have said that we are planning to buy this plugin if it will fit our needs, but we haven’t purchased it yet. I do have the free version and would like to buy the pro version if it will work for us. Thanks.
April 14, 2021 at 5:28 pm #100598ValerieGuestI wanted to pop in and say that I don’t need a response anymore. We figured out another solution. But I am impressed with the level of customer service that I’ve seen in these comments. Take care, everybody.

Unfortunately this is not possible for the time being.
The closest we can get to this solution is by using the limits per category but this is not exactly what you’re looking for.I’ll add it to our to-do list and will let you know if we have news about it.
See you 😉 - AuthorPosts
