ParticipantI have monthly purchase limits from the day of member signup, as I’m sure many customers do. However there is no option for this, since months have different numbers of days. If I set it to 30 days, it will be off because of months with 31 days or 28 days. So it’s not usable for me this way. Is there any solution?

Would the “Date range” option set as
this month
help?January 27, 2023 at 7:45 pm #108402Tom DuHamel
ParticipantHello,
If “this month” operates the way I suspect, then it would not work. For example, a person that begins a monthly membership Jan 20 would only have 11 days to make their purchases. Whereas they should have through Feb 19.
This is extremely common in recurring memberships. Membership fees are charged on the same day every month, based on the initial signup day. So “30 days” or “this month” don’t work.
Unless my suspicion is wrong and that’s “this month” takes this into account and spans between months.
February 16, 2023 at 8:29 pm #109689Hi Tom,
There is a new option we’re trying to develop for cases like that.
I’m sending you via WeTransfer a modified version (3.8.4-dev) of the plugin with two new options:
– General > Date range > Monthly
– General > Date range > Origin date > Memberpress subscription dateIt’s more oriented to Memberpress plugin though. If you’re not using it you could try setting the General > Date range > Origin date as
User register date
instead. You’d have to use our “Recalculate” option as well.
Basically, the idea is that the limits will be reset monthly, based on the Memberpress subscription date. If it was on
2023-04-15
, the limits will be reset always on day 15th of each month. And, in cases like the subscription was on day 31st and the previous month doesn’t have such a day, it will be used the last day of the previous month.Let me know if it helps.
