Hi there!
I downloaded your free plugin, but no matter what settings I use, the activation email just wont be sent. Any suggestions what can go wrong? It’s basic user account registration with woocommerce, user just gets a free membership, no purchase or anything.
Thanks!April 4, 2021 at 4:21 pm #101292ZohaibParticipantHi,
I would like to suggest you try the default plugin’s settings first. You can use the Reset option in each tab of the plugin settings to reset to the default settings.
Secondly, If it still does not work, under the General tab under the activation link, can you try and change the Email sending trigger to On WooCommerce created customer
April 6, 2021 at 2:10 pm #101293AmonGuestHey there,
I found out whats the problem, I wasn’t using the membersarea for registration, but a custom form made with this: https://crocoblock.com/widgets/registration-form/
Is there a way to make your plugin work with this type of signup also?
April 6, 2021 at 7:38 pm #101294Hi Amon,
Maybe. Please send the plugin to [email protected]. We can take a look at the possibilities looking into the plugin.
Anyway, if we manage to make the plugins compatible, we’ll probably put this feature on the pro version only. Would it be ok for you?
April 6, 2021 at 11:26 pm #101295AmonGuestHey there,
Thank you for your answer, but in the meantime I figured out that I need to use woocommerce registration, so the emails work. Now my only problem is, that even though automatic login after verification is selected, the user has to type in the login credentials. What could have gone wrong here? Do I assume it correctly that this should mean that when the user clicks on the link in the email, he gets automatically into his account?
Thank you
April 7, 2021 at 9:15 am #101296AmonGuestHey,
Apologies, found what blocked the automatic login, it was a chache problem.
April 7, 2021 at 6:18 pm #101297No problem.
So it’s everything ok now, is that right?Let me know if you need something else 😉
April 7, 2021 at 6:28 pm #101298AmonGuestYes everything works fine! Although one question: is there a way to not force the verification? So that after registration the user if chooses to, can use the site normally?
April 8, 2021 at 1:19 am #101299Great 🙂
I’m not sure if I’m following exactly your question.
If the user doesn’t click on the verification link his account won’t be verified. He will still be able to use the site normally but as a guest user only.He will only be able to login after the account is verified.
April 8, 2021 at 10:21 pm #101300AmonGuestAnd there is no way then for him to login and use the site without verification? Basically what I’d like is not to force the user to verify, just give him the option to do that.
April 9, 2021 at 3:41 pm #101301ZohaibParticipantHi,
If you want users to be able to log in even though they have not verified their email, under the general settings, Logout unverified users section, Disable the options here.
April 13, 2021 at 1:45 pm #101302ZohaibParticipantHi,
In addition to the above in version 2.0.8 we have created a new option:
General > Block unverified login
This option will be enabled by default. In order to suit your situation, you need to disable it.
