Why do I get an error message when I click on the activation link?

I am receiving an error message after the email activation link is clicked that the activation failed even though the activation was successful

Hi John,

In the plugin’s settings, please try and enable General > Redirect on failure option.

Also please try and change the options under Advanced > Authenticate filter.

Please let me know if you continue having trouble with this.
