Hi, I just bought this and it works perfectly in the cart but I also have a side cart which allows the user to change the quantity and the problem is the limit is not enforced when using the sidecar, do you have any idea if we can make sure your limit is enforced in the sidecar too?

Can you please let me know if you are using a plugin for the side cart or does it come with your theme and which theme your are using in that case?
Also you could try and Enable the Block Checkout Page option in the plugin’s settings in the Frontend tab. This would at least prevent users from reaching the checkout page if the limits are not met.
