Why is the limit not working per user role?

I hope all is well with you.

I’m running into an issue with adding new user roles and increasing their product limit. I had done this in the past with no problem however it seems when I change the limit for the new role it is defaulted to the limit per user instead of the limit set for that actual role.

I was also wondering if it is possible to use your %first_order_date_exp_timeleft% codes as short codes for other locations on the website. It would be handy to be able to show the time left before being able to order in a prominent place on the site instead of only on a product page.
