September 12, 2024 at 1:13 pm #150038Hi, Susan,
Could you please try enabling the “Other cart discounts > Apply wholesale discount only if no other cart discounts were applied” checkbox in “WooCommerce > Settings > Product Price by Quantity > General” and let me know if that helps?

ParticipantHi Tom
No Difference with Other cart discounts turned ON or OFF, I have also tested with “Add order discount” turned ON and OFF, with no luck to the overall issue and that is that multi-product discount not being removed when a tagged product is added as a second, third or fourth line in the cart etc.
Here are three scenarios, keeping in mind that I am using Tags to group my multi-product discount:
Scenario 1:
Add two different Tagged products
Add 1 Tagged Product15% is added to the single tagged product already in cart, BUT it shouldn’t have any discount applied as a single tagged product.
Add coupon code for 10% discount – adds a 10% discount to cart and keeps the 15% discount on tagged product
If I increase one of the non-tagged products – discount increases to 20% of the single tagged product
Scenario 2:
Add three different Tagged products
Add 1 Non-Tagged Product20% is discounted from all tagged product already in the cart – it should only be 15% off but the non-tagged item is being included in the count.
With “Other cart discounts” turned OFF and I add coupon code for 10% discount – adds a 10% discount to cart and keeps the 20% discount on tagged product
With “Other cart discounts” turned ON, Add coupon code for 10% discount – adds a 10% discount to cart, removes 20% discount from top line item in cart and keeps the 20% discount on the other two tagged product.
Scenario 3:
Add one Tagged product
Add 1 Non-Tagged ProductNo multi-product discount happens, which is great.
Increase Non-Tagged item, multi-item is applies, which is all good too.
Add a discount code, it removes the multi-product discount and code applies fine.
Scenario 1 and 2 are the most common way people shop on our site, and Scenario 3 is the only time it all works the way it should, but is very uncommon way people shop.
Based on my troubleshooting, the discount removal seems to only impact the item in the first line of the cart, any other subsequent items in the cart keep multi-product discount. Which is compounded more if the first item is a non-tagged product, because then all tagged products maintain the discount.
I need two fixes:
Firstly for the plugin to impact the whole cart when it applies the “Other cart discounts” option, not just the first line.
Secondly, the multi-product discount NOT to apply in cart if there is only one tagged product AND not to count the other non-tagged products as part of the discount.
The first line in the cart seems to be where things get a bit unstuck with the plugin.
Hope that helps and let me know if you need to clarify anything.

Would it be possible to share access to your site so I could log in and check what’s going on (my email is [email protected])? Please let me know if sharing an account is not an option, and I will continue solving it remotely.
