Case Study: How Doyuk Resolved a WooCommerce Login Issue with Customer Email Verification
Overview
At WPFactory, we know that sometimes the biggest challenges with a WooCommerce store aren’t about adding new features; they’re about making sure the features you already have work together properly.
For Doyuk, a problem with the customer email verification system was affecting one of the most important parts of their store: allowing customers to log in and access their accounts.
Here’s how the issue was identified and resolved with the help of WPFactory’s support team.
About the Client
Doyuk is a Turkish company specializing in promotional products and customized items for businesses. Their online store, Doyuk.com.tr, allows customers to create accounts and manage their orders through WooCommerce.
As customer accounts are an important part of their website, having a smooth registration and login process is essential to their day-to-day operations.
Main Goals
Doyuk wanted to use email verification to make sure newly registered customers confirmed their email addresses before accessing their accounts.
At the same time, they needed the verification system to work smoothly with their WoodMart theme and existing WooCommerce setup.
Their main goals were to:
- Make sure customers could successfully verify their accounts.
- Allow verified users to log in and access the My Account page normally.
- Keep the customer registration experience working smoothly with WoodMart.
- Configure admin notifications after account activation.
- Make sure social login users could bypass email verification when appropriate.
Plugin Used
Customer Email Verification for WooCommerce Pro

The plugin allows WooCommerce stores to require customers to verify their email addresses before their accounts become fully active.
It also provides options for customizing the verification process and integrating it with different WooCommerce setups.
For Doyuk, the plugin was being used alongside the WoodMart theme and its customer account functionality.
The Challenge
After configuring the plugin, Doyuk noticed an unexpected problem.
Customers could create an account and complete the email verification process, but after logging in, clicking My Account would send them back to the login page instead of displaying their account details.
This created a frustrating experience for customers because the account appeared to be successfully activated, yet they couldn’t access their account area.
The Doyuk team initially checked their configuration and updated WoodMart and its related plugins to the latest versions. They also tested the website with the email verification plugin disabled.
Interestingly, when the WPFactory plugin was disabled, the WooCommerce membership system worked normally.
That helped narrow down the issue and showed that the problem was connected to the interaction between the plugin and the existing My Account page setup.
How WPFactory Helped
The WPFactory development team investigated the issue rather than assuming the problem was simply caused by the plugin configuration.
During testing, the team created a new My Account page using the same WooCommerce shortcode as Doyuk’s existing account page.
The new page was then assigned as the official WooCommerce My Account page under:
WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Page setup → My account page
After assigning the new page, the redirect issue disappeared.
Logged-in customers were able to access their account details normally without being redirected back to the login page.
This showed that the problem was specific to the original My Account page rather than the email verification functionality itself.
Doyuk could then continue using the new page and simply rename it to “Hesabım” to match their existing website.
Results Achieved
After implementing the new My Account page, Doyuk confirmed that the Customer Email Verification for WooCommerce Pro plugin was working perfectly on their website.
The solution helped them:
- Restore normal customer login: Verified customers could access their accounts without being redirected to the login page.
- Keep email verification in place: Customers could still complete the required verification process before accessing their accounts.
- Maintain their existing WooCommerce setup: The solution worked without requiring major changes to their store.
- Identify the real source of the issue: Testing isolated the problem to the existing My Account page configuration rather than the verification process itself.
- Get the store back to normal: The issue affecting their live customer login experience was resolved.
For Doyuk, the solution wasn’t about rebuilding their login system. It was about finding the small configuration issue that was getting in the way, and fixing it without disrupting the rest of their store.
A Successful Collaboration
What started as a login issue turned into a good example of why troubleshooting WooCommerce problems often requires looking beyond the plugin itself.
By testing the different parts of the setup and isolating the My Account page as the source of the conflict, the WPFactory team was able to find a straightforward solution.
Doyuk was happy with the result and later reached out to WPFactory to share their experience as part of our Case Studies.
