Before any run of the Price Update: Bulk Pricing Editor for WooCommerce, click Preview prices and check the Results table, because a bulk change cannot be undone. Back up or export your products first, test the rule on one category, change one field per run, and clear your page cache, object cache, and CDN after applying.
Always preview first #
Click Preview prices and read the Results table. It shows each product’s original and modified price with no risk, and it is the fastest way to catch a wrong divisor or a filter that matched nothing.
Back up prices before a big run #
There is no rollback. Export your products (or take a database backup) before a store-wide change, so you can restore if a rule was wrong.
Test on a small slice #
Use the Products category filter to apply your rule to one category first. Confirm the outcome, then repeat with Any for the whole store.
Use one operation at a time #
When several fields are filled they stack in a fixed order (Direct, Percentage, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract, then rounding). For predictable results, change one thing per run.
Mind the divide direction #
Dividing by a number below 1 raises prices. To halve prices, divide by 2 or multiply by 0.5, not by 0.5 in the Divide field.
Clear caches after applying #
If the storefront still shows old prices, clear your page cache, object cache, and CDN. The plugin clears WooCommerce product transients automatically, but external caches it cannot reach.
