To add a free shipping notification to the WooCommerce “added to your cart” message, open WPFactory > Left for Free Shipping > Add to cart in Free Shipping Bar: Amount Left for Free Shipping for WooCommerce and tick Enable section. The amount left then appears right after a product is added. This section is Pro.
Before you start #
- WooCommerce, active.
- Amount Left for Free Shipping Pro (the Add to cart section is Pro).
- A free shipping minimum the plugin can read: the WooCommerce Free shipping method with a minimum order amount, or a manual min amount.
Step by step #
- Go to WPFactory > Left for Free Shipping (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Amount Left for Free Shipping) and open the Add to cart section.
- Tick Enable section.
- Write the Content, for example:
Spend %amount_left_for_free_shipping% more to get free shipping! - Set Position to show your text before or after WooCommerce’s own message, and Glue for what goes between them.
- Save changes, then add a product to the cart from a single product page to see the notice.

Add to cart notice options #
| Label | Option ID | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enable section | alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_info_enabled_add_to_cart |
No |
| Content | alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_info_content_add_to_cart |
%amount_left_for_free_shipping% left for free shipping |
| Position (Before or After the standard text) | alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_info_position_add_to_cart |
After the standard text |
| Glue (inserted between the two texts) | alg_wc_left_to_free_shipping_info_glue_add_to_cart |
<br> |
The notice is added to WooCommerce’s standard “Product added to cart” message. Use Position to place your text before or after the standard message, and Glue to control what separates them (a line break by default). Content accepts HTML, shortcodes and the placeholders %amount_left_for_free_shipping%, %free_shipping_min_amount%, %current_cart_total% and %progress_bar%.
What the customer sees #
After adding a product, the shopper sees one notice combining WooCommerce’s “has been added to your cart” text with yours, for example Spend $12.00 more to get free shipping! The amount already includes the product just added. If that product takes the cart over the minimum, the Free shipping reached message from the General section shows instead.
Other free shipping notifications #
If you want a notice that does not depend on adding a product, the Store notice section (Pro) offers a Default WooCommerce notice shown on page load, which you can limit to certain pages with Display by function (for example Is Cart or Is Product), and a fixed Site-wide notice banner.
If it does not work #
- No text after adding from the shop page: with WooCommerce’s AJAX add to cart buttons on archives, WooCommerce shows no “added to cart” notice, so there is nothing to append to. Use the Store notice or the mini cart for archive pages.
- The message appears twice: tick Advanced > Clear notices, which wipes earlier notices when a product is added.
- Nothing is appended at all: no free shipping minimum was found, or a General > Hide the amount left text rule applies.
- The text runs into WooCommerce’s message: change Glue, for example to a space or
<br>.
FAQ #
Is the add to cart free shipping notice free? #
No, the Add to cart section is Pro. The free version shows the amount left on the cart page and through the shortcode and widget.
Can I show the notice as a separate message? #
Not in this section: it always joins WooCommerce’s added to cart message. For a separate notice, use the Default WooCommerce notice in the Store notice section.
Where does the notice appear? #
Wherever WooCommerce prints its added to cart message: on the product page after adding, or on the cart page if your store redirects to the cart after adding.
