To export a line-by-line breakdown of what was in each order, use the Orders Items section of Export Products, Orders & Customers for WooCommerce. Each row is one item, with its order’s context attached. This guide covers the setup.
Step 1: choose your order-item fields #
- Go to WPFactory > Export (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Export).
- Open the Orders Items section.
- In Export Orders Items Fields (
alg_export_orders_items_fields), select the fields you want, then click Save changes.
What you can export #
- Order context (repeated on every item row): order ID, number, status, date, time, currency, total, taxes, shipping total, payment method, and billing and shipping details.
- Item details: Item ID, name, SKU, Item Product Input Fields, Item Meta, Item Variation Meta, quantity, tax class, product ID, and variation ID.
- Item money: line subtotal, line total, line subtotal tax, line tax, and both “plus tax” combinations.
Pro field: Backend Order Notes is a Pro-only field here, the same as on the Orders section.
Step 2: add custom item meta (optional) #
The Additional Export Orders Items Meta Fields option (alg_export_orders_items_fields_additional_total_number, default 1) lets you add columns from meta keys. For each field you set Enabled, Title, a Type (Order Meta or Product Meta), and Value (the meta key). The free version allows one; Pro removes the limit.
Step 3: run the export #
Click Open Tool to go to the Export dashboard at WooCommerce > Export, pick a date range, and click Download CSV or Download XML.
What this is good for #
- Per-product sales analysis across many orders.
- Fulfillment and picking lists.
- Accounting exports that need per-line tax detail.
Get more control #
Order item export is free. Export Products, Orders & Customers for WooCommerce Pro adds the Backend Order Notes field and unlimited custom meta columns (order or product meta per line). See what Pro unlocks.
