    Hi Hasan,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, it is possible to see it from the admin product list. To do so, please go to the plugin’s settings and, under the “Products” section, enable the “Admin products list columns > Product cost” option. After that, please go to the “Products > All products” section and use the “Select a category” and click on the “Filter” option. Then it should show all products with cost for a certain category.

    Kind regards,
    Moshtafizur

But it doesnt give me a total value.

For example, I sell many styles of T-Shirts.

I want to know what is the total value of my entire inventory for the category: T-Shirts

    Hi Hasan,

In such a case, please go to the “Tools & Reports” section, and scroll down to the”Analytics” and enable the “categories tab” option. Then go to the “Analytics > Categories”, and from “Show” select “Single categories”, then enter the name of the category. Then the total cost of the category will be displayed in the “Costs total”.

    Please give it a try.

    Kind regards,
    Moshtafizur

    Hey, thanks for the information.

So I followed your instructions, and I can see a cost total now, but this is displaying the cost total for the items sold over a selected date range.

I want to see what my current, at-present, total inventory value is for a particular category.

For example, we can be audited by the government and they walk into our business and demand to to know the total cost value of my entire T-Shirts inventory…surely I can check this information somewhere in the plugin,.

    Hi Hasan,

Yes, it is possible with our plugin. But just to be sure, did you go to the “Analytics > Categories”, and, from “Show” select “Single categories”, then enter the name of the category? If you type the name of the category for which you want to see the total cost and submit it, then it should give you the correct output. Please let me know if it doesn’t work for you.

    Kind regards,
    Moshtafizur

Yes, I follow your instructions exactly.

Here is a screenshot of what I see: https://tinyurl.com/yt3wtmjl

Again, I wish to see the CURRENT stock value, in dollar amount, for a specific category.

Currently, all I can see if the stock value of goods sold over a set date range.

    Hi,

Have you tried our options under Tools & Reports > Analytics > Stock tab ?

Once enabled, you’ll be able to access Analytics > Stock. Once there, you might enable the category column. To have more control over the data, for now, it would be necessary to export the CSV.

I have indeed enabled the ‘analytics’ options according to your instructions.

However, each product/variation is now being displayed as being under ALL categories. I am not sure why.

    Please see screenshot
