ParticipantHello,
When I create a new customer in the backend of WordPress and I try to edit that customer there is no field to fill in their EU VAT number.. This is pretty important because I make a lot of my customer on demand.

ModeratorHi Marcel,
Are you creating them as regular WordPress users? If yes, then you will not see the VAT field there, instead you will see it once you add an order, and then select customer (from order page), under billing you will get it like in this screenshot.
Let us know if you still need more help please.

ModeratorHi Marcel,
One other option might be handy if you think it’s easier.
Once you create a customer, go to Users >> edit that user and you will see a VAT option field for that customer (it won’t appear on user creation, just on edit).
Let me know please if you need any other help.

ModeratorHey Marcel,
Just an update to make sure it’s clear (for you or anyone seeing this comment), the first option will edit the VAT only for the customer in that order, and won’t update the original info of that customer, so the 2nd comment is more accurate to get you what you want.

ParticipantHi,
I don’t see an option to add VAT number when I edit a customer.. Can you show me where I can find it?

ModeratorHi Marcel,
Customer here is a normal WP user right? If so, then you can find the VAT number in the user edit page WP Users >> Edit, if you can’t see it, please send us wp-admin access to [email protected] to see what’s wrong.
