Why can’t I use the plugin’s features even after activating it?

Hi, I just saw that all columns are gone, the input field for the costs in the products has also disappeared, but the plugin and the settings are still there and are enabled. But it seems as if the plugin is no longer there or is switched off. I can no longer see or enter anything. What is going on here? Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

    Hello Annemiek,

I hope you are well today. We are sorry to know that you are having difficulties.

Could you please uninstall the plugin and reinstall the most recent version from here? Also, make sure that you are using the latest version of WooCommerce (6.5.1) as well.

However, if the problem persists, then let us know.

why is there no update via my wordpress dashboard? If I uninstall now and put the new version on it, will I lose my old data and do I have to enter everything again? A standard update via the dashboard should be preferred for a paid plugin.

    Hello Annemiek,

    Thanks for your response.

    > If I uninstall now and put the new version on it, will I lose my old data

You will not lose your previous data if you uninstall and reinstall the latest version.

Our plugin may also be updated via the dashboard. However, you must first download and install the WPFactory Helper plugin. The plugin is available for download here. Then go to your My Account page and generate a key for the Pro version. Then, in the WPFactory Helper plugin, paste the key there.

I hope this information was helpful to you. Please get in touch with me if you have any queries or need help.

    Kind regards,
    Moshtafizur

An extra plugin to be able to update another plugin is not exactly something that makes me happy. Almost everyone wants as few plugins as possible on the wordpress website and certainly no plugins that are only used to update another plugin. This should just be in the current plugin.

I think it’s an odd construction. Somehow I am disappointed about this, because I buy a plugin and can expect that it can be kept up to date without the help of other plugins via the dashboard or without having to uninstall it first.

I don’t want any extra plugins just for this purpose, I just want when there is a new version that the current plugin says to update without any detours, just like normal plugins do. Maybe you could make this possible for paid plugins like this?

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version did not resolve the issue. All fields of the cost of goods plugin have disappeared, as well as the columns. I also have the latest version of woocommerce. So what could it be?

    Hello Annemiek,

I am really sorry to know that you are still having the issue.

Sometimes it might be the case that the problem is due to a cache issue. Kindly clear your browser’s cache. If you’re using a caching plugin, please try and disable it. However, If the problem persists, would it be possible for you to share your WordPress dashboard access so we can take a look for you? You can send your details to [email protected]

    Kind regards,
    Moshtafizur
