Free vs Pro: what each version covers #
The free and Pro versions of Payment Gateway Currency for WooCommerce have the same Convert Currency and Restrict Currency modes and options. The only difference is which gateways you can configure: Free covers Direct bank transfer, Check payments, Cash on delivery, PayPal, and WooCommerce PayPal Payments, while Pro covers any installed gateway, including Stripe.
The one difference that matters #
- Free: you can set currencies for the five standard WooCommerce gateways: Direct bank transfer (
bacs), Check payments (cheque), Cash on delivery (cod), PayPal (paypal), and WooCommerce PayPal Payments (ppcp-gateway). - Pro: you can set currencies for any payment gateway installed on your store, including Stripe, third-party PayPal integrations, local gateways, and any custom gateway.
For a gateway that Pro would unlock, the free version still shows the settings row but the fields are disabled.
