Fix conflicts between quantity pricing and other discounts #
If quantity discounts from Price by Quantity & Bulk Quantity Discounts for WooCommerce stack with coupons or other discounts, go to WPFactory > Product Price by Quantity and, on the General tab, enable Other cart discounts. The quantity discount is then skipped for any cart that already has a coupon or another discount applied.
Symptoms #
- Two discounts apply, so the total is lower than expected.
- The quantity discount is ignored or replaced by another discount.
- Discounts appear to apply in the wrong order.
Cause #
Several tools can filter the WooCommerce product price at once. Price by Quantity sets its price through woocommerce_product_get_price at the highest priority, so it usually applies last, but another plugin, a coupon, or theme code may still change the final figure.
Fix: stop quantity discounts from stacking #
- Go to WPFactory > Product Price by Quantity (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Product Price by Quantity).
- On the General tab, enable Other cart discounts (
alg_wc_wholesale_pricing_apply_only_if_no_other_discounts). - Save. The quantity discount is now skipped for any cart that already has a coupon or another discount applied, so the two never stack.
Isolate a plugin conflict #
- Note every active plugin that touches pricing, discounts, or coupons.
- On a staging site, switch to a default theme (such as Storefront) and deactivate everything except WooCommerce and Price by Quantity, then retest.
- Reactivate the other plugins one at a time to find which one changes the price.
Developer note #
Price by Quantity already hooks woocommerce_product_get_price and woocommerce_product_variation_get_price at PHP_INT_MAX, so it runs after most other handlers. If another plugin still wins, adjust that plugin’s own price filter priority rather than the WooCommerce core hook, and test on staging.
