To show a fallback payment method for conflicting carts in Payment Methods by Product & Country for WooCommerce Pro, go to WPFactory > Payment Gateways per Products > General, tick Fallback gateway > Enable under Advanced Options, choose the fallback gateway, and save. It appears only when your rules would leave the cart with no gateway.
When the fallback appears #
The fallback gateway is shown only when your combined rules would otherwise leave the cart with zero available gateways. It is not a default applied whenever a product has no rule, and it does not override carts that already have at least one valid gateway. Think of it as a safety net for the conflict case, for example a mixed cart where one product allows only Gateway A and another allows only Gateway B.
Before you start #
Enable it #
- Go to WPFactory > Payment Gateways per Products (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Payment Gateways per Products) and open the General tab.
- Under Advanced Options, tick Fallback gateway > Enable.
- In Choose fallback gateway, select the gateway to fall back to (for example Direct Bank Transfer).
- Click Save changes.
Options #
| Setting | Option ID | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Fallback gateway (Enable) | alg_wc_pgpp_advanced_fallback_gateway_enabled |
No |
| Choose fallback gateway | alg_wc_pgpp_advanced_fallback_gateway |
(none) |
Note: Pick a gateway that works for any order, such as bank transfer or cash on delivery, so the fallback never lands the customer on a method that cannot process the cart. If you leave Choose fallback gateway empty, nothing is shown in the conflict case.
Test it #
Create two products with opposing rules (each restricted to a different gateway), add both to a cart, and open checkout. With the fallback off you would see no methods; with it on you see your chosen fallback.
