Custom Order Status Email Placeholders Reference

This reference lists every placeholder available in the Pro status emails of Additional Custom Order Status for WooCommerce, and where each one works.

Subject, heading, and content placeholders #

These placeholders work in the email subject, heading, and content:

Placeholder Replaced with
{order_id} Internal order ID.
{order_number} Order number shown to the customer.
{order_date} Order creation date, in your site date format.
{order_billing_first_name} Billing first name.
{order_billing_last_name} Billing last name.
{order_pay_url} The customer pay-for-order URL. Added in version 1.9.3.
{site_title} Your site title.
{status_to} Slug of the new status.
{status_to_title} Title of the new status.
{status_from} Slug of the previous status.
{status_from_title} Title of the previous status.

Heading and content only #

Placeholder Replaced with
{order_details} The WooCommerce order items table.
{completed_order} The full WooCommerce completed-order email block.

Recipient (email address) placeholders #

These work only in the Email address field, and use percent signs, not curly braces:

Placeholder Replaced with
%customer% The order’s billing email address.
%admin% Your site’s admin email address.

Note: to insert an order meta value, use the [alg_wc_os_order_meta key="..."] shortcode in the content field. There is no {custom_field_...} placeholder.

Put these to work #

Placeholders are used in Pro status emails. See how to send automated emails on status change, or get Custom Order Status Pro.
