Hi there,
What I want to achieve is to limit a user from buying more than one item, from a specific category (an online class, in this case). They can be as many tickets to ONE class, but they cannot checkout for two different classes in the same checkout.
Does this plugin achieve this?
I also want all other categories to be unimpacted. They can buy from product based categories as much as they like…. it’s just the single category I need to limit.

Hi,
Yes this should be possible with our plugin. Here is how the setup might look like:
In the plugin’s settings General tab you would, Amount Limits as Maximum and Amount types as Quantity.
Then in the products tab of the plugin’s settings you would enable the Per product category option.
Then you would edit the Online Classes Category and set the maximum limit as 1.
However, this would be a lifetime limit of maximum 1 class per user.
If you would like to set the maximum limit to 1 for a certain time period in that case our plugin, Maximum Products per User might be better suited.
Thanks Zohaib, I was hoping to only have the limit in place for that particular checkout instance.
Ie. They could checkout with one “course” and then go back to purchase a different “course” straight after if they wanted to, but they couldn’t check out with 2 different courses in their cart, at the same time…… does that make sense?
From what you have described, I don’t think it will work but interested to know if you think there is a way around it!
